This site collects the work of Geoff Crosby. It is not curated, it just is. It is a way of keeping a record and seeing where things might head.

Geoff Crosby was born in Melbourne in 1957.

During the late 1970’s and early 1980’s he studied Architecture at the University of Melbourne and later at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and Painting and Printmaking at the Caulfield Institute of Technology (CIT).

Crosby went on to a be a founding member of the Melbourne rock band Hunters & Collectors.  After leaving the band in 1985 he established a painting studio in the suburb of St.Kilda in Melbourne, exhibiting work in Melbourne as well as Sydney and Canberra.

He has also worked in film, having directed a number of early Hunters & Collectors music film clips. He later directed clips for bands such as X, Painters & Dockers, Do Re Mi and Huxton Creepers.

In 1986 he was Video Artist in Residence at Express Australia Youth Media Bureau,  where he taught film making to homeless kids in inner Melbourne.

In 1990 he establish CROSBY architects, based in Melbourne. In 2008 he relocated the practice to Castlemaine, in regional Victoria, where he now lives.

At the end of 2015 he started exhibiting again.
